我們的義德之母、亞歷山大里亞的德奧多拉

這位聖人生活在五世紀。由於和另一個男人犯了姦淫，她非常悔恨，因此，逃離了丈夫的家，改名為德奧多若。她女扮男裝，假裝閹人，加入一座男修道院。直到她死後，人們才發現她是女人。

因為明日（12日）是聖母聖誕慶期的圓滿日，所以聖奧托諾穆的禮儀移至本日舉行。

母親啊，在你身上，天主的肖像被準確地保存著；你背著你的十字架，跟随基督，藉著你的所做所為，你教導我們不要在意於肉身，因為它終將消逝，卻要留意靈魂，因為它是不朽的。因此，正義的德奧多拉，你的心靈與天使一起歡欣鼓舞。

With fasting didst thou * consume thy body utterly; * with vigilant prayer * didst thou entreat thy Fashioner, * that thou shouldst receive the complete forgiveness of the sin thou hadst wrought; * which receiving in truth, thou didst * mark out the path of repentance for us all.

你以守齋徹底致死了你的肉體；以醒寤祈禱向你的創造者獻向懇求，好能使你領受完全的罪赦；你確實獲得了罪過的赦免，給我們指明了悔改的道路。

睿智者啊，你被隆重地接納進入神聖的事務中，真福殉道者奧托諾穆，當你飲了基督的杯爵時，成為令人喜悅的祭獻；現在，你侍立在基督臺前，不斷為我們眾人向祂祈禱。
