Ἐπὶ τῆς θείας φυλακῆς, ᾨδὴ δ’ Ἦχος α’

Ἐπὶ τῆς θείας φυλακῆς ὁ θεηγόρος Ἀββακούμ, στήτω μεθ’ ἡμῶν καὶ δεικνύτω, φαεσφόρον Ἄγγελον, διαπρυσίως λέγοντα· Σήμερον σωτηρία τῷ κόσμῳ, ὅτι ἀνέστη Χριστός ὡς παντοδύναμος.

Let the Prophet Abbacum, the proclaimer of divine things, keep the divine watch with us, and show forth the radiant Angel who with resounding voice hath declared: Today doth bring salvation to the world, for Christ is risen as omnipotent.

厄弗冷大司祭譯文：

Let the Prophet Avvakoum, inspired by God, keep the divine watch with us, and show forth the radiant Angel, who with resounding voice declares, ‘To-day is salvation for the world, for Christ has risen as omnipotent’.

Isaac Lambertson 譯文：

On divine watch let the God-inspired Habakkuk stand with us, * and show forth the light-bearing angel clearly saying: * Today salvation is come to the world, * for Christ is risen ** as Almighty.
