Πρὸς Κύριον ἐκ κήτους ὁ Ἰωνᾶς ἐβόησε· Σύ με ἀνάγαγε, ἐκ πυθμένος ᾍδου δέομαι, ἵνα ὡς λυτρωτῇ, ἐν φωνῇ αἰνέσεως, ἀληθείας τε πνεύματι θύσω σοι.

To the Master from the monster Jonas cried: Lead me up from the depth of Hades, I pray, that with a voice of praise and in the spirit of truth I may offer sacrifice to Thee as my Deliverer.

Isaac Lambertson 譯文：

From the belly of the sea monster, Jonah cried out: Lead me up from the abyss of hell, I pray, that with a spirit of truth and in a voice of praise I may sacrifice to Thee, as to my Deliverer!

Jonah cried aloud unto the Lord from the belly of the whale: ‘Do Thou lead me up from the bottom of hell, I pray, that with a voice of praise and in the spirit of truth I may sacrifice to Thee as my Deliverer.’
